Readers are Leaders

27 Oct

read-booksMost of my early school teachers would constantly harp on reading being essential…. As a kid I only did what was necessary and not vital … as time passed I found what the adage “Readers are Leaders” really meant.

As I journeyed through the self-development path, I found many gurus in this community, too, pushed the fact of reading for a minimum of 30 mins a day. This is  as vital, for our sustenance.

Jim Rohn, one of the self-development gurus, made mention that reading is something of substance, something of value, something that was nourishing, something that taught you distinctions, was more important than eating. “Miss a meal,” he said, “but don’t miss your reading.”

Today, I am hooked on this habit. If I miss a day it’s like getting to bed without a shower and being wedged between two soiled sheets. It’s a very horrible feeling.book reading images
